RK&K is actively seeking an energetic, motivated Pursuit Specialist or Senior Pursuit Specialist with fresh ideas and a positive attitude for immediate employment in our Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC offices. The candidate will possess 5+ years of experience with demonstrated knowledge of transportation, construction and water/wastewater industries.

Essential Functions:

• Update, maintain and produce marketing material including resumes, discipline and project summaries, portfolios, etc.
• Produce creative and informative proposals and presentations that sell the firm's professional services in a range of disciplines and locations
• Prepare/submit firm prequalification packages
• Track marketing activities and maintain associated database (Deltek Vision), collateral, and reports
• Proactively monitor and track upcoming advertisements and project opportunities with public sector clients throughout the State; this requires familiarity with various advertisement and procurement websites
• Participate in regular marketing meetings with technical staff to strategize for upcoming and ongoing pursuits
• Support companywide business development initiatives and major project/program pursuits

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the A/E/C proposal development field
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of technical staff and multiple concurrent deadlines
• Strong communication (written/verbal) and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of database/CRM systems
• Proficient with Adobe InDesign desktop publishing software and MS Office software
• Demonstrated proficiency with technical writing, review and proofreading of materials for content and grammar, and style
• Experience coordinating and preparing proposals (standard government format including DOT and custom "free-form" for both design-bid-build and design-build projects) and presentations, including conducting team coordination
• BA or BS in Marketing, Business Administration, English, Journalism, Communications, or related discipline

Preferred Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of database/CRM systems, specifically Deltek Vision, a plus
