Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Development of off-campus jobs handling off-campus employer contracts and billing as needed.
* Evaluate off-campus employment sites ensuring supervision and safe work environments.
* Maintain site evaluations and periodic monitoring for compliance with university policies and procedures.
* Build and maintain relationships with local employers that provide employment opportunities to Lipscomb students. Assisting employers with determining staffing needs.
* Develop community service opportunities in non-profit agencies to meet the expenditure requirement in the Federal Work study program. This includes general community service,
America Reads and America Counts programs.
* Assist the Director of Career Services with mini internship opportunities.
* Monitor part-time and summer employment positions for FWS eligible students ensuring the generation of total student wages exceeding the total amount of FWS funds expended for the administration of the JLD program.
* Develop, retain and provide statistical data about the university's JLD program activities for the FISAP including fiscal operations, numbers of student positions located and developed and total student earnings.
* In collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid, maintain written policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal regulations.
* Develop, create and conduct training workshops for off-campus employers and student employees to ensure program compliance.
* Manage all job descriptions for FWS student positions ensuring compliance with federal and institutional policies and procedures.
* Coordinate with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure that payroll information for student employees is accurate and students are paid appropriately.
* Manage the document imaging of confidential documents related to employer contracts, site evaluations, student employment records and correspondence.
* Answer questions from and advise faculty, staff, employers and community based organizations about student employment.

Job qualifications

* Bachelor degree and 1 to 3 years of professional experience in higher education or community based organizations
* Comfortable working in a highly integrated and computerized environment
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public speaking
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
