SUMMARY

Seeking student worker to assist the College of Business Content Creation Studio Director and the Career Connection team with digital marketing, studio management, general operations, content creation, and support for signature events.

Requirements are initiative, flexibility, strong communication skills, an eagerness to learn, and basic knowledge and understanding of the content marketing and creation processes. There will be many opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in areas of interest.

MARKETING & CONTENT CREATION STUDIO RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the daily operations of the studio, including equipment setup, use, and maintenance.
  • Assist with the optimization of procedures, schedules, and best practices for the studio.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the studio and its offerings.
  • Assist with the production, editing, and promotion of the College of Business's featured podcast: The Management Minute with Dr. Donita Brown
  • Monitor internal and external news regarding the College, alumni, students, and faculty to develop relevant stories or social media posts.
  • Participate in ideation sessions to conceptualize content that will be relevant and impactful for current students.
  • Create and edit content, including videos, podcasts, and graphics.
  • Assist with social media planning, copywriting, and posting as needed.

CAREER CONNECTION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Provide necessary support to members of Career Connection team on special projects
  • Aid in the set-up and tear-down of events
  • Attend Career Connection events as a representative of the College of Business
  • Provide clear direction to guests during events
  • Facilitate efficient check-in of guests, alumni, and students
  • Assist team with Connect to a Successful Career Course, including set-up and ensuring panelists are greeted and escorted out in a professional manner.

EDUCATION: Current Student, Undergraduate Business Major preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to take initiative when given projects and to learn new skills when necessary
  • Basic knowledge of marketing and previous experience with content creation is preferred
  • Exhibit excellent writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and be solution-oriented
  • Flexibility
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Responsible and dependable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Suite
  • Ability to work 5-15 hours a week, schedule is flexible
  • Occasional evening hours to assist with set up, tear down & documentation of COB events
