Job Description
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Join a world-renowned institution dedicated to advancing treatment for children with catastrophic diseases.

At , we have one common goal: find cures for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases through research and treatment. We have a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, board-certified (or eligible) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Faculty Member. , within the , works in close coordination with a skilled psychosocial team including psychology, neuropsychology, social work, child life, music therapy, and pastoral care. Our practice focuses on ensuring children diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses can receive treatment while minimizing distress and potential psychiatric effects related to their disease or its treatment. The Division of Psychiatry coordinates our care with world-renowned oncologist, hematologists, infectious disease experts, and other leaders in their field. We are active in education, quality improvement, and are developing research that will further inform our care and our field.

Balance work and life
As a faculty member, you'll experience the benefits of working in an environment where patient care and treatment are prioritized above all else. This is a remarkable opportunity to be part of a collaborative workplace where all employees share the same commitment to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve. St. Jude is ranked on Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Places to Work For" since 2010 and is ranked a 'Leader in Pediatric Oncology' by US News and World Report since 2008. We are the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center devoted solely to children and our psychiatry providers work exclusively with children, adolescents, and young adults. This gives us a unique perspective in the small but growing field of psychiatric oncology. Further, our patients often travel to St. Jude from many regions and countries, often living near our hospital for months or years. This allows for greater continuity of care than many other psychiatric providers working in consult/liaison roles.
