Overview

As a Geologist/Manager with CEC, you'll be directly involved with environmental compliance monitoring and assessment projects. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing field activities, including: assisting with and leading field sampling activities for groundwater, surface water, air and soil monitoring/assessment projects; monitoring soil boring installation and coring activities; field screening of various media for evidence of environmental impacts; documenting groundwater monitoring well and piezometer installation activities. You will also assist with preparing work plan, permitting documents, preparing technical reports, interpreting environmental data, developing potentiometric surface maps and geologic cross sections

Qualifications
    B.S. in Geology;
  • Professional Geologist licensure;
  • Experience with Sanitas Statistical Software preferred;
  • 10+ years applicable experience in site characterization and hydrogeological investigations;
  • Demonstrated experience supervising field staff;
  • Proficient in writing work plans for regulatory review and permitting;
  • Confident in working with drilling contractors, laboratories, and field personnel;
  • Knowledge of Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia Regulations and regional staff relationships;
  • Experienced with groundwater monitoring and reporting programs;
  • Environmental compliance experience (spill response plans, water/waste permitting, compliance audits, etc.).
