Overview:

BGS is seeking Nuclear Safety Engineers to join our team at our corporate offices in Oak Ridge, TN, which provides integral mission support to multiple clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nuclear safety technical support services in accordance with 10 CFR 830 Subpart B and applicable standards such as DOE-STD-3009-94 and DOE-STD-1189-2008.
  • Utilize demonstrated experience in the hazard identification, hazard screening, and hazard evaluation process.
  • Perform accident and consequence analysis process.
  • Assist with engineered and/or administrative controls credited for the prevention or mitigation of postulated accidents.
  • Document the results of these processes in safety analysis reports, documented safety analyses, and technical safety requirements.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in documented safety analysis is required.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active Q clearance.
  • P.E. License.
