Leadership positions within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are available for students who have worked in the office for a minimum of one semester. There are eight leadership positions.

The primary responsibility of an Admissions Ambassador is to recruit prospective students to Lipscomb University. Each Ambassador will partner alongside admissions staff members to better communicate to prospective students, to help with processing within the office, to help showcase the campus through campus visits, and to support any other recruitment efforts.

All 2024/2025 Student Ambassadors (with the exception of students on the Quest Team) will be expected to move into their dorms before Freshman Move in on August 11. Mandatory training for Ambassadors will be conducted August 13-17 while on campus to assist for Quest Week events August 12-17. If you have any questions, please email marguerite.smith@lipscomb.edu.

Experience & Requirements:

-Must have worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for a minimum of 1 semester.

- Must exhibit strong leadership skills

- Ability to manage time and responsibilities

President:
-Oversees training for all ambassadors
-Responsible for Training Manual
-leads monthly meetings
-Directs student ambassadors on event days


Vice President:

- Boost ambassador morale
- Plans games for meeting
- Plans 1-2 social events per month for ambassadors
- Treats for meeting
- Ambassador Dundees (awards) in the spring
- Assists in keeping Manual up to date, helps plan training

- Will likely go to Denver for Student Development Institute Conference in January with Marguerite & Ella

Secretary
-Monthly Newsletter/announcement at meeting
-Keeps ambassadors up to date on new campus info, admissions info, meeting notes, etc.
-Social Media content about Ambassadors for @golipscomb

Managers- 2 tour team, 1 call team, 1 student recruiter

- Lead team specific training in January for any new hires
- Lead team meetings
- Manage team Slack
- Support team as needed
- Organize & assign tasks to data team
