Description

The College of Bible & Ministry Student Intern will work with the Director of Student Affairs on community events, program coordination, spiritual formation opportunities, and office management. This position will also help manage events, plan and execute retreats, organize databases, and recruit incoming students. This position is meant to be held for two or three school years.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Able to work 12 to 15 hours a week with flexibility on time of day, for evening events, retreats, and potentially traveling out of town for church visits
  • Active driver's license, as occasional off campus errands may be needed
  • Vehicle for off campus errands
  • Proficiency in Google suite
  • Preference for candidates with administrative, events, and ministry experience
  • Preference for sophomore and junior students

Position Details

  • Pay: $12 an hour, with opportunity for a raise
  • Schedule: 12 to 15 hours a week, schedule to be determined by the intern and Director of Student Affairs & Recruitment
  • Work location: CBM undergraduate suite lobby
  • College of Bible & Ministry Intern reports to the Director of Student Affairs & Recruitment

Internship Responsibilities: Recruiting

  • Regularly communicate with potential students through texts and phone calls
  • Visit churches with Director of Student Affairs & Recruitment
  • Manage CBM Instagram page and GroupMe
  • Attend all Lipscomb Fridays and admitted student weekends
  • Design, order, and distribute merchandise for CBM
  • Plan student panels for Lipscomb Fridays and admitted student weekends
  • Send handwritten cards to students after recruitment meetings

Internship Responsibilities: CBM Community Life

  • Help plan and set up monthly community lunches for current CBM students
  • Plan other community events for current CBM students
  • Assist in creating and executing a CBM annual retreat
  • Assist in creating and executing a Worship Arts annual retreat
  • Assist in creating and executing a Pastoral Leadership annual retreat
  • Communicate in the CBM GroupMe
  • Regularly pick up and distribute mail for the CBM faculty & staff
