Job Description

Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department

Location: Marshall Medical Center

Position Shift: Full Time 7p-7a 3x12

About our Unit:

* We see on average 1000 patients a month with about 25% of that being pediatrics. Our Critical Access ED is staffed with all Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians 24/7.

* All Nursing staff are ACLS and PALS certified with many holding additional certifications in trauma and emergency nursing. Our nursing staff has collectively over 100 years of experience with our most seasoned nurse working for the organization for 32 over years.

* Our leadership is very involved and encourages frontline staff to help in making decisions that better serves our patients and staff including safe staffing ratios and workplace violence prevention.

* Our facility also provides other advanced testing such as Profusion CT studies, MRI, Bone density, Ultrasound, Labs and adult inpatient beds should the need arise.

Position Summary:

* Responsible for planning, directing, providing and evaluating nursing care for patients using critical thinking, judgment and leadership skills

* Good communicator and is open to feedback with patient/support system, charge nurse, MDs, supervisor and other members of the health care team.

* Performs a number of other nursing duties that include charting, medications, use of equipment, etc.

Credentials / Education:

* Required: TN or compact state RN license
