Job Description

Title: Pharmacy Technician Certified - Pharmacy

Location: Maury Regional Medical Center

Position Shift: Full Time Mixture of day and evening shifts; every other weekend

Position Summary:

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is primarily responsible for performing routine tasks in the unit dose distribution program, sterile compounding, and the outpatient prescription program. The Certified Pharmacy Technician participates in departmental quality measures, process improvements, and documentation efforts. The Certified Pharmacy Technician assists in capturing charges and credits for medications. The certified technician assists the Clinical Staff Pharmacists and Technician Supervisor as needed. The certified technician assists the Clinical Staff Pharmacists and Technician Supervisor as needed. They must work with Pharmacy administrative staff and all pharmacy team members in meeting department objectives.

Credentials / Education:

* Certification by PTCB as a Pharmacy Technician in TN Required

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

* 1 year of Pharmacy Experience Preferred
