Finance Manager:

Lennar is seeking a Finance Manager who will manage the day-to-day financial operational functions of the division, including Accounts Payable, financial analysis and reporting, corporate and divisional reporting requirements, and Payroll administration. Ensure Corporate Accounting and Finance policies are in place and followed.



Responsibilities

  • Manage and complete month-end close process accurately and timely in conjunction with corporate deadlines
  • Provide detailed and analytical explanations of variances in actual financial data compared to forecasted results
  • Manage and complete payables process and ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors
  • Manage and complete payroll process and ensure the accuracy of payroll submissions and the proper record retention for auditing purposes
  • Assist in financial reporting including but not limited to weekly sales, starts and closings forecast and actual
  • Review job cost accounts and provide monthly updates as it relates to budgeted vs. actual
  • Possess complete understanding of the Accounting Policy Manual and ensure that policies are complied with
  • Prepare revenue and cost of sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to predict future revenues and expenses
  • Prepare bank account and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare Fund Transfers as it relates to Joint Venture projects
  • Assist in preparation and review of closing statements as it relates to home closings
  • Manage and review profit sharing and back-up calculations and work with the land sellers for timely payments
  • Prepare analysis for land take-downs
  • Responsible for monthly budget reviews
  • Monitor sales activity through weekly traffic, sales, starts and closings report
  • Provide weekly and monthly statistical/financial reporting to Division Management
  • Manage the internal and external audit requests
  • Support the Division for report preparation and analysis for the quarterly regional ops meetings
  • Perform as needed special projects as assigned by Corporate, Division President or Regional Controller


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
  • Five years minimum related accounting and financial experience, including homebuilding experience
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, the use of Hyperion, EssBase, Smartview and JD Edwards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professionally perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
  • Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills as well as supervisory skills
