General Information:

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Bushing Winder to work in its O Plus Dry department. In this position, you will work with assembly drawings and measuring devices to properly wind bushings to match the customer's specifications.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with Kampf-Stahl Kontor and Menzel winding machines, overhead cranes, lifting devices to successfully wind bushings.
• May be required to provide information to maintenance, engineering and/or quality assurance about the performance of the winding equipment.
• Must be able to work within team structure with minimal supervision.
• Continuous training on new equipment or new processes within the condenser winding area and based upon additional assignments.
• Use vacuum cleaners, standard and special hand tools, winding templates, tape measure, calibers and other measuring devices as needed to complete windings.
• Willingness to cross-train between condenser bushing winding machines.
• Must be able to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed to perform job functions.
• Able to stand and/or walk on hard surfaces for up to 10 hours per day.
• Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely.

Your Background:

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• One year of experience in a manufacturing setting reading and interrupting assembly drawings.
