The Lipscomb Academy Academic Support Program is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as the Upper School Testing Coordinator. The Testing Coordinator will work under the direction of the Director of Academic Support with identified students to coordinate the proctoring of major summative course assessments for students with accommodations according to their Section 504 Plan.

Tasks

  • Arranges the testing environment, including adjusting physical spaces, according to the individualized accommodation needs of the students
  • Works collaboratively with teachers to obtain and administer exams in the required accessible formats for students with documented disabilities
  • Communicate with teachers regarding specific instructions for assessments
  • Ensure the timely scheduling of all tests and exams
  • Provide accurate and secure retrieval, storage, and administration of tests and exams
  • Monitors student attendance throughout the exam session. Notes begin and end times of exams and awareness of late attendance or no-show attendance
  • Provides written and oral instructions as needed
  • Convey and enforce testing guidelines to students and faculty
  • Precisely follow testing accommodations that have been outlined according to the student's Section 504 Plan
  • Collects and analyzes data from the scheduling system to identify trends in usage, needs, and challenges in testing and proctoring; troubleshoots both physical and digital accessibility issues that arise during the administering of exams
  • Provides weekly data reports to the director of academic support
  • Maintain confidentiality of student education records. Student education records include all records, files, documents, and other materials that contain personally identifiable information on any student.
  • Recruit and train staff to support the testing center when additional proctors are needed, including best practices for test readers
  • Daily/weekly coordination of additional proctor locations for overflow when the testing center is at capacity
  • Create protocols for faculty to access the testing calendar, post to the testing calendar, submit tests securely to the testing coordinator (including necessary coversheets and instructions), post tests to Schoology, and return tests
  • Communicate pertinent information to parents and students
  • Advocate for students
