Responsibilities
- Manage the fixed asset accounting function, including the accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of fixed assets in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as procurement, operations, and project management to ensure timely and accurate capitalization of fixed assets, including new acquisitions, disposals, and impairments.
- Conduct regular reviews and analysis of fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and related financial reports to identify discrepancies, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analysis to senior management, offering insights into fixed asset performance, trends, and potential risks or opportunities.
- Assist in the development of capital expenditure budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans, providing financial expertise and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews of fixed asset accounting processes and records, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of any issues or findings.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices related to fixed assets, proactively assessing their impact on the organization, and recommending appropriate actions.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
