Responsibilities
  • Manage the fixed asset accounting function, including the accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of fixed assets in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as procurement, operations, and project management to ensure timely and accurate capitalization of fixed assets, including new acquisitions, disposals, and impairments.
  • Conduct regular reviews and analysis of fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and related financial reports to identify discrepancies, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analysis to senior management, offering insights into fixed asset performance, trends, and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of capital expenditure budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans, providing financial expertise and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews of fixed asset accounting processes and records, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of any issues or findings.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices related to fixed assets, proactively assessing their impact on the organization, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management
