A growing professional services company is looking for an AP & AR Manager to join their team in this newly created position. Reporting to the Controller that we placed, the AP & AR Manager will be responsible for operational accounting, overseeing AP and AR Accountants, assisting with general ledger accounting, and billing. To be successful in this role, the AP & AR Manager will need to be able to roll up their sleeves, be motivated, and have the desire to eventually move into an Assistant Controller role in the future. What do you need for this AP & AR Manager role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Supervisory experience
- Oversee processing of invoices
- Analyze and approve payment batches and ensure compliance
- Oversee and reconcile vendor statements while resolving discrepancies
- Create and maintain relationships with vendors
- Create credit and collections policies
- Resolving billing issues and inquiries
- Review aging reports and reduce DSO
- Implement processes to streamline AP and AR
- AP and AR reporting
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- PE backed company that grows by acquisition
