A mid-sized e-commerce company in LA is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory, receivables, revenue, and purchasing. What do you need for this Accounting Manager role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Supervisory experience - must have experience having direct reports
- Inventory related accounting experience
- CPA or close to it
- Advanced Excel
- Develop and execute strategies for efficient inventory control and optimization
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accuracy
- Implement best practices for inventory handling including FIFO, JIT, or other relevant methods
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and cos-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Prepare and present financial report to senior management and stakeholders
- Supervise the purchasing process, negotiating contract, and terms with vendors
- Streamline accounts payable procedures and ensure timely payments to vendors
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement processes
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and work quality is maintained
