The Global Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant international logistics of our medical devices. This position requires meticulous management of transportation across various modes (air, sea, and land) to meet the stringent requirements of the healthcare industry. The coordinator will strategize, implement, and guide logistics operations, guaranteeing that medical devices are transported safely, timely, and in adherence to global regulatory standards, thereby supporting the company's mission to enhance patient care worldwide.What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and oversee the logistics of medical device shipments, ensuring timely and compliant delivery across multiple transportation modes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and service providers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to international and national regulations related to the shipment of medical devices.
  • Maintain risk management practices to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain and prepare contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs to understand and apply the latest regulatory changes affecting medical device shipments.
  • Utilize logistics software and systems for tracking, documentation, and reporting to maintain transparency and efficiency in the supply chain.
  • Conduct regular analysis of shipping routes and modes, optimizing for cost-efficiency, speed, and reliability.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that transportation methods meet the specific labeling, handling, and storage requirements of medical devices.
  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the table

  • Associate's degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of logistics or supply chain management experience, specifically in managing multiple transportation modes.
  • Thorough understanding of international logistics and shipping regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics operations.
  • Effective communication essential for coordinating with global partners and vendors.
  • Proficient in the use of logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, necessary for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical mindset, crucial for optimizing logistics strategies and operations.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with medical device quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 13485, is advantageous.
