Job Description
EnSafe is accepting applications for a Senior Water Resources Engineer (Storm Water Engineer). This position will work on various site investigations and site assessments under the guidance of project managers and senior staff. This position can be based out of any of our Tennessee offices. Relocation assistance is offered for the right fit.

The successful candidate will work and manage projects supporting MS4 permittees. These projects will range from permit/regulatory compliance tasks, MS4 permit implementation and policy, and projects that result in compliance with the MS4 six minimum control measures including Public education and outreach, Public involvement/participation, Illicit discharge detection and elimination, Construction site stormwater runoff control, Post-construction stormwater management in new development and redevelopment, and Pollution prevention/good housekeeping for operations. The candidate should be familiar with and have experience in the development of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Control and Countermeasure Plans. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Scoping and Managing Projects of up to $1M in value
  • Prepare MS4 Annual Reports and associated documentation to demonstrate permit compliance
  • Identification of areas of concern about permit implementation and scope projects to facilitate compliance with the MS4 six minimum measures
  • Design and perform stream mitigation projects where stormwater impacts have occurred
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists and coordinate with the Client/Program Manager to identify and conduct stormwater projects and develop client internal guidance to comply with permit provisions
  • Leading the development of technical reports
  • Effectively communicate technical needs and positions to client and EnSafe personnel to develop a compliant and effective MS4 program governing client activities and operations


Qualifications:

  • An accredited Engineering Bachelor's degree.
  • PE license required in the state of TN or ability to transfer PE to TN
  • Licensed erosion and sedimentation control specialist (CPESC) in the state of TN
  • 15+ years of experience in stormwater engineering with a minimum of 5 years in direct MS4 support and planning
  • Management of projects with a value of $100K or more
  • HAZWOPER training and certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft program products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to oversee and delegate work
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Overnight travel is required (40-50% Travel)
