Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will conduct maintenance activities including repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment monitoring. The hours for this role are 8am-5pm.

Key Duties

Key Duties:

    Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
    • Industrial HVAC experience highly prefffered
  • Repairing, maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment, utilities, buildings and grounds.
  • Complies with all cGMP procedures, safety practices and environmental regulations.
  • Performs all requests as assigned through the computerized maintenance management system (Blue Mountain).
  • Document work performed on manufacturing equipment with work orders.
  • Performs full range of maintenance activities up to the limits of skills and training.
  • Schedule and coordinate repair with outside contractors.
  • Requisitions spare parts and supplies as requested.
  • Respond to after hour call-ins for equipment failures.
  • May work non-standard shifts and weekends to support production or maintenance needs and/or to complete work that would otherwise interfere with production.
  • On-call duties will be required (on a rotational basis) due to environmental monitoring activities.
  • Communicate daily with co-workers and manager through shift notes.
  • Use computer software to access maintenance files, procedures, e-mail, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Some advanced technical training in HVAC systems is preferred
  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in maintenance / repair environment, and cGMP manufacturing environment experience is desirable.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and accurately follow company SOPs and guidelines and complete all paperwork as required.
  • Must maintain accurate and precise records.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical and automated controls troubleshooting skills is required.
  • Must be able to work successfully in a team environment that requires flexibility.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing and interact professionally with all levels in the organization.
  • Must possess good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to perform job requirements independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Able to perform under pressure and handle stressful situations along with readily adapting to changing job duties.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
  • Able to maintain attendance and punctuality requirements.

Requirements (Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands):

  • Physical demands may be high at times including working outdoors in extreme weather for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day in a multi-location facility.
  • Must be capable of working at elevated heights.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads up to 75 pounds on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required to perform duties in the production areas (safety glasses, gloves, respirator).
  • Ability to stand, stoop, reach, push and pull carts/equipment throughout the course of the work shift.
  • Ability to concentrate, analyze and problem solve or troubleshoot equipment or facility issues.
  • Must be capable of working extended shift on short notice and participate in on-call rotation for systems monitoring.
