Job Description
We are seeking an Administrative Director for the Center of Excellence in Pediatric Immuno-Oncology (CEPIO).

at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN is seeking an Administrative Director.

The role of the Administrative Director involves the management of the administrative aspects of the center encompassing finances, human resources, and other fiscal and administrative operations of the center.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the center or function in collaboration with senior management.
  • Develop annual goals of the administration team and provide oversight for overall execution.
  • Oversee administrative contract management and vendor management, ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
  • Manage strategic communication/influence leaders across other departments and centers in order to meet team goals.
  • Manage administrative budget of the center, tracking actuals & variances and rebalancing as needed. Work with center and institutional managers and staff to manage and monitor the center budget.
  • Lead a team by driving people management processes in terms of goalsetting, performance management, development, and engagement.
  • Serve as the communication liaison and key administrative contact for the center on matters related to meeting scheduling, event management, coordination, logistic management, vendor management, coordination with other teams on matters of financial systems etc.
  • Prepare ad hoc and recurring reports, analyze trends and communicate insights, independently.
  • Support the planning and coordination of the center or organization wide events/ meetings.
  • Take lead in coordination of projects/ activities and/or provide significant support to large/special projects.
  • Oversee & manage recruitment process by developing & coordinating itineraries for center visitors or new recruits including senior members.
  • Support the management of compliance issues.
  • Mentor junior members of admin team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the center and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: 7+ significant years experience in managing communications with cross functional leaders/ stakeholders of a strategic or sensitive nature.
  • Experience in long term resource planning and budgeting.
  • Significant experience in vendor and contract management.
  • Experience in leading a functional team.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Administrative Director- Center of Excellence in Pediatric Immuno-Oncology (CEPIO)..
