Primary Function

TheProduction Lead (2nd Shift)leads and coordinates activities within the WB department to provide direction, training, and support to the effort of departmental employees in the manufacturing of high quality commercial water heating units. Verifies correct manufacturing processes are adhered to. Works with other operators, engineers and quality personnel to identify and resolve potential customer issues.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours:2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm - 2:00 am + OT as needed

Hourly Rate of Pay:$29.38/hr ($28.38/hr base plus $1.00 shift differential)

Sign On Bonus:$1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 12 months - mustnot be on a corrective action for attendance)

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the timely completion of all departmental product schedules, including recognizing and preparing appropriate subassemblies where applicable, per the production schedule
  • Properly manage scheduled and unscheduled workload under the direction of the production schedule and/or Plant Supervisor
  • Responsible for product quality in accordance with established Company guidelines and / or specifications
  • Provide instruction to employees on the duties, methods, order and frequency of assigned job duties
  • Responsible for staying current with the latest Engineering design requirements and ensuring that any changes in manufacturing are verified correct
  • Responsible for immediately reporting safety and Company policy violations to the Plant Supervisor or Plant Manager
  • Responsible for proper care and cleaning of the equipment, following all safety policies and guidelines and maintaining the area's organization and housekeeping
  • Responsible for the timely notification of daily, weekly, or weekend working hours to department employees
  • Assist Engineering and Quality Assurance personnel in resolving production problems
  • Develop and promote positive relationships with department employees through effective communication of Company policies and procedures
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew and motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
  • Notify relevantdepartments of tooling or materials required for job completion
  • Instruct and train new or transferred employees into the department
  • Maintain building integrity, verify tooling returned, and equipment shut down at the end of each work shift
  • Assist in inventory, rework, and scrapping of unit in a timely manner
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of raw materials in the area and assists with cycle counting
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of commercial boilers, water heaters, and pool heaters preferred
  • Prior assembly experience preferred
  • Computer software knowledge (SAP and MS Office preferred)
  • Understanding of LEAN
