What You Will Do as a Senior Operations Manager:

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for multiple functional areas of the distribution center (shipping, receiving, product customization and order fulfillment). Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Supervisors, Managers, and Leads coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership team strength within the Distribution Center.

How You Will Make a Difference:

* The primary responsibility of the Senior Operations Manager is to ensure company production objectives are met at the lowest cost while maintaining positive customer relations through quality and service.
* Responsible for development and oversite of staffing plans to ensure achievement of monthly production and shipment goals.
* Partner with human resources and department managers to ensure job positions are filled in a timely manner.
* Responsible for developing training and cross-training plans to achieve a flexible workforce.
* Manages and solves employee issues and concerns to create an atmosphere of openness and maintain an informed work force that knows and understands company policies and business goals.
* Assist in building annual financial plans and budgets, develop quarterly financial forecasts and perform in-depth financial analysis to explain budgetary variances.
* Drives and implements cost reduction strategies, strategic planning and projects.
* Initiates continuous improvement projects that includes new technologies, equipment evaluation, automation and new process methods.
* In partnership with quality, engineering and other operational leaders to build a robust quality system that meets customer expectations.
* Develops and implements inventory processes that meet company objectives for inventory accuracy and eliminate inventory variances.
* Ensure continuity of end-to-end processes to meet on-time delivery expectations and customer SLAs.
* Build a safety first culture and develop a safe work environment for all employees. This includes promoting adherence to all local, state, federal and company safety policies, guidelines and laws.

Skills for Success:

* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in a distribution environment
* 7 years of experience managing distribution management
* Experience working in or managing an ISO 9001:2015 program. (WTN only)
* Excellent organizational skills
* Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross- functional teams and
executive leadership.
* Must understand work flow and incentive pay practices
* Knowledge of environmental, safety, and employee relation laws
* Limited travel required (5 - 20%)
