Pay Rate: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


As a Paralegal specializing in Intellectual Property, you will support attorneys in intellectual property law practice, handling trademark prosecution, intellectual property litigation in federal and state courts, and various other related tasks. Essential skills include maintaining detailed patent dockets, organizational prowess, attention to detail, and strict adherence to deadlines.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage patent docket, including deadlines and coordination with IP paralegals.
  • Review patent documents for relevant updates and deadlines.
  • Prepare patent docket reports for attorneys and clients.
  • File electronically with the USPTO.
  • Facilitate correspondence with foreign associate firms for trademark filings worldwide.
  • Assist with domain name registration and transfer.
  • Conduct research and analysis relevant to the practice area.
  • Draft, proofread, and file pleadings and court documents.
  • Maintain meticulous electronic files and assist with discovery stages.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • 2 years of litigation support experience.
  • 2 years of patent docketing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • 3 years of experience as an intellectual property paralegal or legal secretary.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, bend, and lift files weighing up to 10-15 lbs.
