Overview

The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating training throughout the property.

Responsibilities

You will work with the People and Culture leaders to prepare and deliver training in regulatory topics, hospitality education, leadership development, and more! You will conduct guided trainings in collaboration with the People and Culture manager, provide administrative support to the People and Culture team, and support in various other areas when needed. You will track licenses and certifications required for the associates in the hotel and ensure we meet Marriott brand standard expectations. You will maintain and update SOPs at the property level as needed. Daily trainings in each department will be expected using engaging methods such as role play, classroom training, fun refreshers, and other strategic training methods.

Qualifications
    Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct training courses in collaboration with all departments.
  • Assist with creation of SOP's to be rolled out to each department.
  • Learn Forbes standards, to then facilitate to the team
  • At least 2 years of progressive training experience.
  • Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Must have hotel/restaurant experience in a luxury and/or fine dining setting.
