Job Description

2nd ShiftDepartment: 3145 (3075/3090/3095-1800)Provide in-line hands on manufacturing leadership within assigned department by focusing on Safety and Workstation Training with proper Method Sheets/Documentation. Produce required scheduled work within the framework of proper execution in Oracle. Support Supervisor and give proper guidance in support of production teams. Education: High School Diploma / GED EquivalentExperience: 5 years of hands on industrial manufacturing experience preferably in rotating equipment applicationsQualifications: Demonstrated leadership ability No written corrective actions within the last year
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensure workstations meet all Safety, 1+5S and TPM requirements by being actively involved with the assessment of all workstations per Quality and 1+5S guidelines.
  • Review all Method Sheets that apply to work performed within the department and facilitate training of all employees per proper Method Sheets and Training Procedures with HR
  • Facilitate proper scanning of work orders within the Oracle Production System to ensure accurate production reporting and inventory; ensure all rework tickets are filled out and turned in to the proper department.
  • Influences team members by displaying a positive proactive work ethic that sets the standards for maintaining a safe, productive work environment while setting and maintaining high quality standards and striving for continuous improvement.
  • Functions as a working production team member as needed
  • Maintains First5 Boards and conduct First5 Meeting in Supervisors absence
  • Facilitates and helps maintain all lean enterprise initiatives, 1+5S, TPM and VSM requirements
  • Prior to movement to the next level of production, sign off on all completed department outbound production
