Job Description
Medium Truck Driver/Spotter Operator
Type: Full Time
Located on the Northeast Side of Milwaukee
Pay: $24.23 per hour to start!
Will safely operate trucks on the site or within a city or distribution/industrial area transporting material and equipment between warehouse yard and dock locations and designated local delivery locations (as needed) based on established schedules.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Will safely operate trucks on the site or within a city or distribution/industrial area transporting material and equipment between warehouse yard and dock locations and designated local delivery locations (as needed) based on established schedules.
- Must have experience driving a Yard Spotter Truck to position trailers in the trailer yard and safely move trailers to/from dock doors for loading and unloading.
- Load and unload trailers, perform pre-operation safety checks on the vehicle or MHE and ensures the vehicle and equipment is in good working order prior to usage.
- Immediately reports vehicle issues to the on-site Mechanic/Welder.
- May be required to use the customer’s warehouse management system (WMS) to generate/close out manifests.
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Warehouse and WMS experience preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience of over-the-road tractor trailer driving
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (Forklifts and other).
- Ability to operate power tools and other industrial equipment.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional work area / process.
- Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to USPS and Company policies and procedures.
- Responsive communication to Company Project Manager and Operations Manager regarding any operational issues that arise.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and site management.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment to include vehicle safety and security measures.
